Dr Chery Disposables
There are two names that stand out when it comes to "Freezer Storage Racks", Heathrow Scientific and Dr Chery Disposables. In an attempt to shed some light on both companies, while better understanding the products they sell. We will be taking a closer look at each company to see how they compare to each other.
This is a close review of "Freezer Storage Racks" (Microtubes, Cryotubes, And Cryovials). We will compare what the products are made of and We will break down the temperatures at which they can be stored. We will us "Customer Service", and "Price" to judge each manufacturer. Such fun. Lastly, we will look at the Distributors and how good customer service handles its customers.
Plastics Used to make them
So far, I see Polypropylene and Polycarbonate as the Dominate Plastics used to make these boxes. The difference in these two can be huge. For one, Polycarbonate can dip to 190 degrees with out cracking, where as Polypropylene can only dip to 110 degrees below. So depending on what you will be using this product for, you may want to choose your product wisely. You can get these products OEM from both Heathrow Scientific and Dr Chery Disposables, and they can be made from Polypropylene or Polycarbonate.
Manufacturers
Heathrow Scientific (3 out of 5) Good
Heathrow Scientific - is one of the biggest players in this market with many products to choose from and a large selection of other products to compliment their Cryovial Boxes (Microtube Boxes). If the Price were better, we would love this company. We can't find them at their competitor's price. We also had a hard time finding them with one name, as every distributor had a new naming system and price. Lastly, what was considered a case varied from site to site? If you chose Heathrow Scientific's Products, you better shop around, prices vary greatly. Our overall rating will be 3 out of 5. Not bad, but lets see what Dr Chery brings
Dr Chery Disposables (5 out of 5)
Dr Chery Disposables- Ok, now from what we could find out about this company, we know they are a new player and have a small product line. But this is not a bad thing, since their product fits in Heathrow Scientifics' racks as well. Price is always the product killer, and you know what, they offer their product at very low prices, we happened to get our hands on this one and it's a clean design. When we noticed the 3 rounded corners and 1 square corner, it was obvious that this made it much easier and faster to know which vials where placed in which slots. They offered more colors, and could be bought OEM from the Manufacturer. Our beef with these guys is Distribution. They are not on a lot of the major Distributor sites, but we spoke to the owner, and that will be coming this year. With Video Reviews of Dr Chery Disposables easy to find, it won't be long before their in labs every where. We gave them 5 out of 5.
Summary
We looked at both products and Dr Chery Disposables had the best customer features, low prices, and you just felt like you weren't a number. That's the Skinny for this week, next week I will be looking at the Amico Shin Guards.
